Updating old bathroom vanity. Your advice please?

Bathroom Vanity
curious cat asked:

I have an outdated bathroom vanity (double sink) that I’d like to update but on a budget. The counter top and sink is beige in color (which matches the toilet and bathtub) and the wood cabinets underneath is oak (with a bit of grooved paneling). I can’t afford to get all white fixtures so I thought I’d re-stain or paint the oak in a dark chocolate brown or dark walnut (?) or even almost a black just to give a good contrast in color. What do you think of the color combo? Beige sink, counter top with dark wood? or what do your think of a dark green or blue wood stain?

I will be updating the faucet fixtures to silver and re-tiling the showers in a blue/green hue.

thanks!

What do you think is more appealing? A wooden cabinet with a one piece vanity top for a sink that would double as storage or a pedestal sink made of porcelain and a piece of wooden bathroom furniture that would be the storage unit?

Where can I find a square shaped, stainless steel, undermount bathroom sink similar to one I saw at a W Hotel?

I stayed at the W Hotel at Perimeter Center in Atlanta and I loved the square stainless steel undermount sinks they have in the bathroom. I have found round and oval shapes but no squares. Any idea where I could find one?
