Design Your Bathroom

I have been refurbishing wood for over 7 years now and I love it. I redid our redwood deck, patio furniture, 2 roll top desks, kitchen table, cabinets, upstairs bathroom and much more. But have not worked with teak wood yet. My neighbors recently asked me if I would like to earn some extra $ by redoing their teak wood patio set that they have owned for 7 years. They complimented me on all the work they have seen me do over the years and wanted to get my “professional” opinon. I went over and checked their patio set out and said I would get back to them in a couple of days. I’ve researched several websites and have gotten lots of ideas, but they are all so different in the how-to’s. I would like to do a great job for them and make some money at the same time but am a little apprehensive. I would also like to know if anyone could give me an estimate or ballpark figure on how much one usually charges for something like this. It’s a 5 piece octogonal table and chairs with slates

My girlfriend…is living in a house from her divorced husband…She is looking to me for home improvments such as building a new deck on the back of the house..a new porch on the front of the house…a new gable? Also put in a bay window…put in windows around the whole house..Carpet the stairs..carpet the upstairs..paint the whole house and drywall the basement, put up new closet doors…put up shelving..remove and reinstall kitchen cabinets…Tile and grout both bathrooms and the kitchen..make a wall down in the basement put in a drop ceiling with lights..do trim work…put a fence aroung the front of the yard with mortar and rock field stone post..build retaining walls…do brick paving..put in new doorwalls….Etc…I am not really a home repair guy…but am willing to try and save money on labor cost…she says if we do all this the home will sell better…understandable. I just want to make her happy!! Is there a ways to learn and succesfully meet all these projects? Im lost?

I will be moving from my long-time home of KY to FL with my boyfriend within the next year. I’m gradually saving up money & buying some of the smaller things I know I’ll need in a home so I don’t have to purchase them all at once when I get there. I don’t want to have too much to move. When I move, I will have a UHaul pull-behind trailer I can fill, plus a Monte Carlo & a small truck. I have basic furniture already moved down there, so I have plenty of room for the essentials.

Here’s some home stuff I already have purchased:
Drinking Glasses, Pitchers, silverware, plates, bowls, etc.
bedding
shelving & storage solutions [which can also be used to store items in transit during the move]
bathroom & bedroom decor

What else would you recommend I purchase before the move? The bigger / more breakable stuff [such as some home decor] I will be purchasing when I get there. I just need to stock up on the essentials so I don’t have such a shock. I need things I can store until I move. Thanks.

About a year ago I saw a white bathroom vanity with an above counter PINK vessel sink. It was on the Home Depot website, and it was fabulous! I didn’t have the money at the time so I put it off until now. Unfortunately, however, it’s no longer on the site, and, when I went to the store, they couldn’t find it in their catalog either.
