Design Your Bathroom

I saw a stack of sweaters in the Garnet Hill catalog and it looked great together. We are moving into an apartment and so my colors are going to be limited to accessories. Or do you think Chocolate brown, rose and cream would be better together? What decorative touches do you suggest?
What color towels should I get? And how should I use the chocolate brown and yellow sparingly but still with some impact? My husband is going to be painting houses for a living, so he will be dirty after work.

My best friend and I are getting ready to move into our first apartment. I opted for the bathroom that guests would be using since my roommate isn’t as neat. I’ve just begun buying, and I realized that I want to decorate the bathroom to look really nice. The walls are white, and we can’t paint. That’s why I was wondering what type of accessories will look classy in a bathroom? I want it to look interesting without the clutter. Thus far, I’ve only got towels and a shower curtain (all navy blue). I’ve never done this before.. can someone help?

My goal is to move out of my mom and dad’s house in 7 months. I want to start saving for all the furniture and other items I’ll need (nobody has anything free to give me) What are the essentials for a first time apartment? I already know about, bedroom set, living room furniture, kitchen table and chairs, cooking appliences and bathroom items (i.e. towels, rugs and shower curtins). Am I missing anything? And do you think putting away $1,000 a month would be a reasonale if I plan to move out in 7 months? Does anybody know where I can get cheap but stylish furnitre? Sorry for all the questions.

I already asked this question once, but I thought that I should elaborate a bit more. We just bought a house. In the main bath room is a built in shelve from floor to ceiling, probably about 7 ft tall, the shelves are narrow, like 4 inches deep maybe 2 ft long. All of our bathroom supplies are tucked away neatly in cubards. The bathroom has more of a retro feel, black and white shower curtain, black and white towels, black and silver accesories, grey walls…you get the idea. The problem is that I don’t know what to put on this shelving unit, like I said they are not very deep, just enough to put a candle without it falling off, LOL! So obviously I’m going with some candles, maybe some black and white pictures (not of people, since that would be weird). Other than that I don’t know what else I could put up there for decotations, without it being to “girly”. I’m not really into the typical bathroom decorations, like seashells and sand. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks
